Looking at the next four games on the Jacksonville schedule.
Picking up where we left off, I have the Jags 2-2 after the opening part of the season.
Compared to where we were last season, this would be a marked improvement but the challenge will only get tougher from Week 5.
Week 5: Kansas City Chiefs @ Everbank Stadium
Personally, I think this is one of the biggest matchups and will be a bellwether of our season.
Historically, our games against the Chiefs have been relatively close and I do not expect this to be an exception.
Underestimating the Chiefs is done at your peril and I think we will lose this encounter narrowly.
However, the questions of last season remain. Was the Super Bowl just a bump in the road or is it the start of a substantial rebuild for the Chiefs?
Prediction: Loss
Week 6: Seattle Seahawks @ Everbank Stadium
Another home game, and this time against the Seahawks and their new-look offence. I think this matchup could really be a battle of the rookies.
With Jalen Milroe taking centre stage and Travis Hunter wanting to show his dual-threat ability, this should be a great encounter.
I think Jacksonville will just have too much for Seattle, especially with home advantage, restoring us to 3-3.
Prediction: Win
Week 7: Los Angeles Rams @ Wembley Stadium
This week, the Jags will be taking their annual trip across the pond to play at Wembley Stadium. I have been lucky enough to witness some great football and the atmosphere at Wembley Stadium is incredible.
While atmosphere does not win you games, it can help psychologically against your opponents. We have seen this before when Jacksonville have got the better of teams who on paper were stronger.
Coupled with this, our record in London is 7-6. I believe we can add another to the win column this October.
Prediction: Win
Week 8: Las Vegas Raiders @ Allegiant Stadium
Both the Raiders and the Jags had torrid seasons in 2024 and will be looking for much better this year.
Last time the two teams met, the Raiders won by five points.
With the change in our playbook and the excellent additions that we have made, both on and off the field, I think this could be a showcase for the Jaguars. A win takes us to 5-3 for the season.
Prediction: Win
