It has been a lucky year of ripping packs!
Despite being a fairly new collector in NFL cards, the 2024 season was a year to remember.
With stellar rookies, super short printed cards and unique parallels, here are my ‘Top 10’ cards which have gone straight into the personal collection.
#10 –Jayden Daniels. Rated rookie Donruss optic Blue wave
Due to the fact that Daniels does not sign with Panini, any card that bears his picture immediately catches attention from collectors.
Despite this not being a numbered card, it deserves a place in this list of best pulls of the 2024 season.
#9 – Marvin Harrisson Jr. Donruss Uptown Rookie
One of the new inserts in the Donruss line-up and a nice rookie to pull in this set.
Harrison Jr. has proven himself to be a young star and with an eye-catching design.
His card had to make this list.
#8 – Tank Bigsby. Prizm Blue Sparkle Rookie
Being a Jaguars fan, it would be unusual if one of the cards in this list was not a Jags player.
Therefore, unsurprisingly, a rookie such as Tank Bigsby with its short print number of 90/96 within the collector favoured Prizm set is a prime candidate to make the cut.
#7 – Isaiah Davis. Contenders auto conference ticket
For me, it was a good year ripping packs and pulling rookies.
It always feels good to see a rookie shield when you are opening packs. it was no different when pulling the Jets running back.
Numbered at 52/75 and with an interesting signature, this was a card that warranted inclusion.
#6 – Javon Baker. Phoenix pink variation
Another rookie and this time, it is the New England Patriots’ Javon Baker.
Typically, wide receivers and quarterbacks typically hold value and receive the most attention among NFL collectors. Another short print numbered 21/88 and personally one of my favourite sets produced by Panini. While not the rarest in my personal collection, this card deserves a spot on the list.
#5 – Rhamondre Stevenson. Phoenix pink variation
It seems a little strange to include this card in this list given that it is the same variation as before and it is not a rookie card.
However, this particular variation, and set in general, is one of my personal favourites.
As this card is numbered as 10 out of 40, it solidified its place in this ranking.
#4 – Johnny Wilson. Illusions Mystique Rookie
Panini Illusions is an interesting set featuring partially transparent cards, which offer an alternative design for collectors to look out for.
Featuring Johnny Wilson for the Philadelphia Eagles, this card is an autographed low print at 41/50 cementing its status in my best pulls from packs this year.
#3 – Ja’Marr Chase. Illusions Abracadabra
We are getting into the heavy hitters of the personal collection now.
Despite this not being a rookie card, the eye-catching design of the Abracadabra insert this year featuring Ja’Marr Chase for the Cincinnati Bengals on a super short print.
At 7/10 definitely warrants a podium place.
#2 – Ricky Pearsall. Rookie X’s and O’s Gold Contenders Optic
This is a very recent pull and a stunner at that.
Featuring Rocky Pearsall for the San Francisco 49ers, the clean design showcasing the team helmet, play routes and a shiny gold background.
At 1/10, this would have taken top spot if not for a card that has to be placed at the top of this list.
#1 – Rome Odunze. Kaboom! Rookie Absolute Football 2024

Well, here it is. The best card that I pulled this season.
So good that I have just sold it but it has to be included as my best pull this season.
With the absolutely stunning design as well as it being the wide receiver Rome Odunze, there was no contention. This classy case hit deserved the top spot.
