Can the Raiders turn a corner in 2025?

As the 2025 NFL season approaches, the Las Vegas Raiders are entering a new chapter.

With a new coach, quarterback and superstar running back, it is hard not to feel positive heading into 2025.

Now the real challenge begins. The team looks to bring play-off football to Allegiant Stadium for the first time in a very competitive AFC West.

Fans must be worried about how many head coaches and General Managers have come and gone in a very short time in Sin City.

However, the new combination of Pete Carroll and John Spytek could be the start of long-time success. They had a very good first draft to start things off!

The key figures

On offense, Brock Bowers and Jakobi Meyers will continue to be the biggest threats in the passing game.

There are new faces, with quarterback Geno Smith and guard Alex Cappa. They can hopefully provide a more reliable attack with a new playbook coming from Pete Carroll.

The addition of first-round pick Ashton Jeanty will add some explosive plays that the running back position has rarely seen in the last few years.

On defense, third-year defensive end Tyree Wilson can hopefully take on a bigger role opposite the ever-reliable Maxx Crosby. They will be helped by offseason signing and former Pro Bowler Devin White at linebacker.

With some new young guns in the backfield, fans will be looking at Jakorian Bennett to have a breakout season at cornerback and Isaiah Pola-Mao at safety.

Staying relevant

After five years in Las Vegas, things have not exactly gone to plan. The Raiders have played just one playoff game in that time.

Since the Raiders have moved to the city, Las Vegas has had two champion teams in other sports: NHL’s Golden Knights and WNBA’s Aces.

The Raiders need to up their game to capitalise on one of the most profitable markets in the USA.

But with everything that we have seen this offseason, things are finally heading in the right direction for the immediate and long-term future.
