DFS Week 7: Commanding your Fantasy Lineups

Week 7 – Faith in five and stack it up!

Last week did not disappoint – stacks and running backs delivered across the board!

There was a point in time where our premium pick of the Week for Week 6, De’Von Achane, had scored a long touchdown and the Bryce Young and T-Mac stack had already scored – the lineup was cooking.

Unfortunately, a concussion to Marvin Harrison Jr., who left the game early – and also the ‘right backfield, wrong horse’ of Hassan Haskins over Kimani Vidal really set the lineup crashing back down the standings.

Still a very good week nonetheless:

  • Dowdle – RB2
  • Josh Jacobs – RB3
  • Achane – RB5

We hit the running back position last week, tight ends the week before – who knows, maybe our week it is all put together will be this week?

Quarterbacks

Let us stick with following the points – the total points that is – Washington Commanders heading to Dallas for a matchup with the Cowboys with an Over/Under of 53.5pts.

This suggests a very high scoring game – one that Jayden Daniels (£8400) could and should flourish in. He is not cheap, but he is also yet to score fewer than 17 fantasy points in a single week, so he is going to give you a reliable floor to start your lineup.

On the flip side of that matchup, Dak Prescott (£8200) continues to churn out points, I have made this argument before.

If you are in need of a cheaper option, Spencer Rattler (£5600) has a nice match-up against Chicago who have been very favourable for opposition QBs this season.

Running Backs

My lock of the week is Quinshon Judkins (£5800) who is hosting the Miami Dolphins.

The weather in Cleveland is set to bring 50-60mph winds, so do not expect a game where either team are looking to throw a lot.

We saw the Chargers back up running back Kimani Vidal put up 22.8pts against this Miami defense, so I fully expect Judkins to have high volume and good opportunity in Week 7.

Having seen Rico Dowdle chew up the Dallas Cowboys last week, if you do not go with Jayden Daniels at QB then I suggest getting a dose of this game through Jacory Croskey-Merritt (£5000). He had a down week in Week 6 but should be primed for a bounce back.

Josh Jacobs is not 100% and is questionable at the time of writing this.

That opens the door for Emanuel Wilson (£2200) to be the steal of the week. He is incredibly cheap and should lead the backfield in touches against a very average Arizona defense. Expect him to be in a lot of line-ups as he provides a viable price saving option.

Talking of Kimani Vidal (£3200) and his fantastic output from last week, he is set to feature in a potential high scoring back and forth affair against the Indianapolis Colts. He is priced far too cheap for someone who had 18 carries last week.

Wide Receiver

Plenty of viable options at this position throughout the various price points regardless of how much cash you are looking to spend!

If we aim for a Commanders-Cowboys ‘Comeback Stack’ then we will be looking to feature one of the Cowboys receivers here.

George Pickens (£7400) is the most expensive wide receiver on the slate today and there is a good reason for that. He’s scored 31 fantasy points or more in two of his last three outings and would be remarkable value at this price point again.

CeeDee Lamb (£6800) is back this week, however, and that could well hit Pickens’ value.

Ladd McConkey (£5800) is starting to heat up now. It has been a slow and disappointing start to the season for him and his season long fantasy owners.

Back-to-back solid fantasy weeks should give you faith – and I love his match up against the Indianapolis Colts this week.

Want a stack with Spencer Rattler – look no further than Chris Olave (£4800). He has had double-digit targets in five out of six games this season and should not have a problem turning targets into receptions and yards against a beleaguered Chicago Bears defense.

If you are looking to stack with Jayden Daniels, then Luke McCaffrey (£2200) – who we dialled up in Week 4 – is a fantastic option. Terry McLaurin and Deebo Samuel are both out in Week 7 so Daniels will need to find an alternative option to pass to, and I think ‘McCaffrey the Younger’ could be set for a bump in targets.

Alternatively, Chris Moore (£2200) is the other receiver in line for more work – I did not think I would be writing his name at any point, but here we are.

Tight End

Trey McBride (£5000) cooked last week with Jacoby Brissett under center and that appears to be the case in Week 7 as well. I expect the game script to be pass heavy for Arizona, so McBride should feature as a premium target once again.

If you are waiting to stack or comeback stack the Washington-Dallas game then you can consider Jake Ferguson (£4200) in your tight end slot. Much like Dak, he has been consistent and good value for his price point.

Harold Fannin Jr. (£2800) has appeared as a favourite target of rookie QB Dillon Gabriel, with 10 targets last week. I do not like how windy it’s going to be in Cleveland – hence why I love the Judkins pick up – but if anyone is going to be targeted, it’s going to be Fannin, close to the line of scrimmage.

Many people could forget about the New York Jets offense – given how poor it was against Denver in London in Week 6.

Mason Taylor (£2800) the two weeks prior to Week 6 was flying, and now hosts a Panthers defense that has allowed the second most points to the tight end position. Garret Wilson is going to be out for the Jets – so who else can Fields pass to?

One final injury to monitor – Brock Bowers looks set to miss out against the Kansas City Chiefs, so Michael Mayer (£2200) is the starting tight end once again. He caught five of his seven targets in Week 6 with Bowers out, for 50 yards and a touchdown. The potential volume is much more appealing than the opponent – but I expect to see the Raiders throwing it a lot.

My Sunday Stars Line-up

Captain – Quinshon Judkins (£5800)

QB – Jayden Daniels (£8400)

RB – Emanuel Wilson (£2200)

RB – Jonathan Taylor (£9000)

WR – Ladd McConkey (£5800)

WR – Luke McCaffrey (£2200)

FLEX – Jake Ferguson (£4200)

TE – Michael Mayer (£2200)

There is some risk to this lineup – we are banking on players missing out and their backups stepping up.

If everyone hits and we picked the right game to stack – then we could be on to a winner. Good luck folks!
