Week 6 – Competitive Prices creating Jeopardy!
Can you hear that? No?
That is sound of Week 5 lineups cashing – if you dialled up some of our Week 5 tips!
With a host of starters out injured, we saw back-ups taking on greater opportunities and higher workloads for very affordable prices across daily fantasy slates.
Rico Dowdle. Crushed it! 32.4 fantasy points for RB1 on the week – and you could have had him for the bargain of £3000!
Rachaad White was also a hit for us – RB7 on the week at just £3200.
Dak Prescott finished at QB3 with 28.3pts and achieved the Points:Price ratio we love to see. He was not cheap, but he did deliver for you if selected.
Likewise, Jaxson Dart was not a top QB on the week (QB17) but he was good value, converting £4400 into 16.6pts.
On the flip side, Jalen Tolbert really let us down. That is not the first time I have had to say that, but I simply have not learnt my lesson.
Ryan Flournoy stole the show for Dallas and completely seized upon the role I expected Tolbert to have. More on him later.
If you have not listened to this weeks’ latest HuddleUK podcast episode – check it out below – Phil and I discuss the big guys that came up even bigger for us: Tight Ends of Week 5.
AJ Barner – £2200 – TE1 – 24.3pts
Jake Ferguson – £3800 – TE2 – 23.9pts
Theo Johnson – £2400 – TE3 – 21.3pts
Bang, Bang, Bang.
We even mentioned Darren Waller as he finished TE6 on the week. The tight ends kept it tight this week for us – and for that I am grateful.
Onto Week 6 and a tough slate – a reduced number of matches combined with some interesting pricing means we really need to dig deep. Do not worry though, we have got you.
Quarterbacks
It is slim pickings at QB this week – so we are going to follow the money line and game scripts and not get over our skis.
The highest scoring game on the early slate is Dallas visiting Carolina (49.5) – two teams whose defenses have been far weaker than their respective offenses.
Dak Prescott (£8000) is not cheap – but he has scored 22pts or more in three of his five games so far as he aims to keep his teams in games that his defense is absent from.
On the other side of that tilt, Bryce Young (£5800) faces the aforementioned leaky Dallas pass defense – he has not been anywhere near as solid as Prescott, but game script may force him into throwing more than expected.
Both players have the potential to form a stack with one or more of their receivers – so there is that upside also.
Running Backs
While QBs have left us maybe wanting more – there is viable and intriguing options everywhere you look for running backs!
I backed Josh Jacobs (£8200) on this weeks’ podcast as my ‘Can’t lose’ selection – I am so confident he finds the end zone against a poor Bengals defense, particularly after Green Bay have had their bye week, he should be well rested and ready to go.
Again, as mentioned on the latest HuddleUK podcast – De’Von Achane (£8000) is my premium pick of the week.
That Chargers defense got gouged by the Washington Commanders’ Jacory Croskey-Merritt at a lick of 7.93 yards per carry. We know Achane will have decent volume in a high scoring game, so this has the makings of a good week for him.
Outside of those two options we like Kyren Williams (£6400) against the beaten-up Ravens defense. Considering what Nick Chubb and the Texans did to the Ravens in Week 5 – Williams should have no problem at that price point.
Rico Revenge! Yes, back to Rico Dowdle (£4600) – who is not quite so cheap but is certainly still value for money. Chuba Hubbard is still out, which means Dowdle has a revenge game against Dallas this week.

Though if you are considering Bryce Young at QB – maybe avoid too much stock in the Panthers offense! They cannot all eat … can they?
Finally – it remains to be seen who will take the majority of touches instead of the injured Omarion Hampton for the Los Angeles Chargers.
Both RBs are priced at £2200 – Kimani Vidal and Hassan Haskins.
Haskins is the physically bigger back, with Vidal more of a pass catcher by trade – so consider that approach and game script impact when choosing!
Wide Receiver
Emeka Egbuka (£7200) is on a tear of the like we have not seen since… 2023 Puka Nacua. So not that long ago really.
He stands as the only man left standing in the Tampa Bay skill positions – with Mike Evans and Bucky Irving being joined on the sidelines by Chris Godwin Sr.
If you cannot afford Egbuka in your lineup – then perhaps Sterling Shepard (£2400) can offer some value. He should see an expanded role with the number of injuries they have on offense. He had five targets for four receptions and a TD last week, so a sure sign that the coaches trust him.
How about a game script shot in the dark to really set your lineup apart from the others? A difference maker, if you will? Marvin Harrison Jr. (£5400)
Jacoby Brissett looks set for snaps under center instead of Kyler Murray – and with that, a potential change of fortune for Harrison Jr.
The Indianapolis Colts should not have an issue putting up points on this Cardinals side – which means Brissett will likely be in throwing game scripts.
If you are going with Bryce Young or Dak Prescott at QB, then I suggest hitting the rookie Tetairoa McMillan (£5400) as either the Bryce-stack or the Dak-comeback.
Double digit fantasy points three out of five games so far this season – and he could be about to explode against this porous Dallas secondary.
Speaking of rookies – after his bye week, I expect the Packers to try and get Matthew Golden (£3800) cooking against the Bengals. It is a nice match-up for him and his role has been expanding in the weeks prior to the bye.
Need someone cheap? Kendrick Bourne’s 24.2 fantasy points on Thursday Night Football seems a long time ago. If the 49ers are still ravaged with injuries, then his price point of £2200 is very attractive.
The there is Ryan Flournoy (£2200) – Week 5 nemesis to our guy Jalen Tolbert – he is part of that potential high scoring affair in Carolina and demanded nine targets in Week 5.
Ryan Flournoy had 14 catches for 137 yards in his career before Sunday
then in Week 5, he caught 6 passes (on 9 targets) for 114 yards

Tight End
Jake Ferguson (£4000) has reached his most expensive price point yet – but he is just so damn good. Consistent, in fact. This week it is hard to not call his name again as he faces the defense that has allowed the second-most points to TE in fantasy.
Yes, you guessed it. The Carolina Panthers.
Buffalo’s Dalton Kincaid had a very nice day out against the New England Patriots last week – even if the result did not go his way. Juwan Johnson (£3200) and the New Orleans Saints face the Patriots defense this week and that is a very favourable matchup.
Josh Tonges (£2400) has all the output of George Kittle in fantasy but with none of the cost. He is far too cheap and has hit double digits in both his last two outings.
11 targets for 7 receptions and a TD last week and he is that cheap still!
My longshot of the week is Hunter Long (£2200) of the Jacksonville Jaguars. He faces a travelling Seahawks side that allow the fourth most fantasy points to TE – and he now has the No.1 TE role in Jacksonville with Brenton Strange hitting IR. He is a target magnet for Trevor Lawrence when they get in close – so I am banking on that touchdown this week.

This line-up is going to be full of differentials – uniqueness will either be our success or will be our downfall!
