The Ravens have one of the best rosters in the NFL.
But fine-tuning it is key for any chance of success in a packed AFC.
In truth, there are not many spare roster spots up for grabs.
But here is my prediction for who makes it through final cutdown day, before being reduced further for each matchday roster.
In this part one we will start with the offense, and move onto the defense – and special teams.
Quarterback: Lamar Jackson, Cooper Rush
There is not much to say here. It is Jackson, and Cooper Rush will try to limp the Ravens through if the two-time MVP gets injured.
The only question would be whether to carry three quarterbacks.
But with such a drop-off from Jackson to his back-ups, the roster spot is better used elsewhere.
Overwhelming options in the backfield
Running back: Derrick Henry, Justice Hill, Keaton Mitchell, Rasheen Ali
Full back: Patrick Ricard
The big news at running back is the return to full fitness of Mitchell. He also offers options in the return game.
The Ravens are unlikely to carry four running backs – plus Ricard – throughout the season.
Ali may get a reprieve for the first weeks of the season due to injuries in other positions.
Tight end: Mark Andrews, Isiah Likely, Charlie Kolar
Likely will start the season injured but maybe not on the PUP (physically unable to perform) list, but the Ravens have a solid group here.
The question comes with what to do in 2026, with Likely and Andrews due to become free agents and the Ravens reliant on premium talent at the position.
Wide receiver: Zay Flowers, Rashod Bateman, DeAndre Hopkins, Tylan Wallace, LaJohntay Wester, Devontez Walker
Flowers, Bateman, Hopkins and Wallace are locked in as the top options.
Wester has starred in preseason and offers an explosive option in the return game that gives him a great chance of making the roster.
That leaves a final spot for Walker, beating out Anthony Miller, Keith Kirkwood and Malik Cunningham.
Left Tackle: Ronnie Stanley, Carson Vinson
Left Guard: Andrew Vorhees, Ben Cleveland
Centre: Tyler Linderbaum, Corey Bullock
Right Guard: Daniel Faalele, Emery Jones
Right Tackle: Roger Rosengarten, Joseph Noteboom
The Ravens are carrying three rookies on the offensive line – Vinson, Dellinger and Jones. Three others – Vorhees, Bullock and Cleveland – have minimal starting experience.
On the plus side the Ravens retained four of their five starters for 2025, providing quality and a known quantity.
When fully healthy, Jones is the back-up for Stanley, Faalele and Rosengarten.
But as ever, one or two injuries on the line could rip through the Ravens’ depth in the trenches.
